I am thinking of trying my hand at sourdough bread.
I found this website and they make it sound so easy, I just have to try. But like the website says -"If this sounds brain-dead simple, that's because it is. People who didn't believe the Earth was round did this for millenia."
I have this irrational fear of somehow poisoning my family with my home canned food, and for some reason sourdough kind of creeps me out. Hey - I said it was an irrational fear, not a rational one.
So I can't mess this up, right?
Look! You can freeze starter! Who knew? (Everyone but me?)

Ah, you can mess this up. Do what I did and put the starter in the oven in your very large tupperware Thatsa bowl. Go about cleaning the house. Forget the starter is in there and turn on oven. Bowl melts.all over oven and racks. yes very messy indeed.

Oh no! That totally sounds like something that I would do... and probably more than once, too! LOL
